An Exceptionally Busy Week-end!
An Exceptionally Busy Week-end!
8th / 9th / 10th September 2017
The school term is well and truly underway!
On Friday evening, the semi-finals of the Karl Ashe Memorial Trophy (Gaelic Football) were played in great spirit with the 5th Year Dayboys beating the 4th Year Dayboys (7.11 – 0.7) and the 6th Year Dayboys beating the Boarders ( 1.8 – 0.9). Both matches were played in great sprit and we look forward to next Friday’s final with interest.
Saturday was Inter House Rugby 10’s day (details of winners elsewhere) and it was great to see such a marvellous turnout across 3rd, 4th, 5th and 6th Year – the 2nd years have their event next week – again played with great energy, determination and pride. Sadly, there was one serious injury and we wish Ronan McGoldrick (5th Year) well.
The success of this event is a tribute to all the boys but particularly to our Games Administrator, Deans, Referees and House Captains – A great start to the Year.
