Debating – Leinster Schools Final

Our team of Oisin Ryan (6th Year) and Michael Ryan (5th Year) finished second to Belvedere, in the final held in UCD last night Tuesday, 6th March. There were four teams in the final.

Although the boys are disappointed, it is an excellent achievement, the culmination of many rounds of debating in a competition that started last November.

We opposed the motion that “this House believes that Ireland should withdraw from the EU in the light of Brexit”.

I thank Mr Sheil for his support, encouragement and advice not just for Oisin and Michael but for all our senior debators.
