Cross Country – East Leinster Championship 2019

We had a very successful day at the East Leinsters held in Avondale house, Wicklow on Tuesday 22nd January.

Our juniors won silver medals coming second in the team event. Jack McGlone (2nd Year) won the gold medal in the individual category after another fantastic run.

In the Intermediate race, Eoin Kelly (4th Year) and Eoin Dunne (3rd Year) finished 7th and 8th respectively, and the team won bronze medals for 3rd place.

The seniors won gold in the team event, retaining the east Leinster senior boys shield, Liam Blackburn (5th Year) won bronze for his 3rd place finish.

The top 3 teams in each age group qualify for the Leinster championships in Santry on the 13th of Feb, and given that the Willow park minor team finished second, all 4 of our teams have qualified for the Leinster finals.

We also won the overall award for the best school. I congratulate, the boys and thank Mr Mc Glynn and Eddie McDonagh for their encouragement and preparation of the boys.
