Congratulations 4th Years on Completing Camino De Santiago
Camino De Santiago
29th April – 6th May

144km later, the 20 Transition Year students along with Mr. O’Neill, Ms Nolan, Mr. Ryan and Fr. Marc Whelan arrived in Santiago De Compostella on Saturday last, May 6th. The physical challenge was significant in mixed weather conditions but was completed in good humour with enthusiasm, care and respect that represents the very best of what the College is about.
Provincial Fr. Marc Whelan (class of 1980) made the spiritual aspect of the trip accessible to the boys. The group reflection after dinner each evening was a highlight as the boys reflected on themselves, their relationships with others and what they are grateful for inter alia areas. It was these moments that gave witness to the true impact of the Camino for the boys.
Congratulations to all 20 Transition Year Students on the completion of the Camino De Santiago. Individually and collectively they can all be hugely proud.
I thank my colleagues Mr. O’Neill, Ms. Nolan, Mr. Tom Ryan and Fr. Marc for making it possible.
