Camino de Santiago 2018

Camino 2018
After a hike of 110kms, the 20 Transition Year students along with Mr Brennan, Ms Nolan and Fr Marc Whelan arrived in Santiago De Compostella on Saturday last, May 12th. The physical challenge was significant but was completed in good humour with enthusiasm, care and respect that represents the very best of what the College is about.
Provincial Fr Marc Whelan (Class of 1980) made the spiritual aspect of the trip accessible to the boys. The group reflection after dinner each evening was a highlight as the boys reflected on themselves, their relationships with other and what they are grateful for in their lives. It was these moment that gave witness to the true impact of the Camino for the boys.
I congratulate: Callum Byrne, Chris Byrne, Matthew Byrne, Michael Cagney, Andrew Chapman, Alexander Doyle, Andrew Doyle, Nicolas Dunne, David Ennis, Michael Gadaloff, Conor Hughes, Darragh Kelly, Elliott McNamara, Oscar Murray, Tom O’Connor, Michael O’Daly, Hugo O’Reilly, David Ryan, Matt Smith and Matthew Wood on the completion of the Camino De Santiago.
I thank Mr Brennan, Ms Nolan, Mr Ryan, Fr Marc and Mr O’Neill for making it possible.
