Book Sale in the Digital Learning Centre

As a part of Literacy Day we held a book sale in the Learning Centre in aid of two animal charities, Wicklow Animal Welfare and Aughrim Cat Rescue. All books were €2 each and we raised a total of €120, €60 each for both charities.

Catriona from Aughrim Cat Rescue will put this money towards her vet bill, which is used to treat many of the animals in her care. Fiona from Wicklow Animal Welfare told us the €60 would vaccine six dogs (first, primary vaccination or second core vaccine) It would pay for six to seven de-flea or worm treatments and €60 towards a spay (€100) or neuter (€80), everything helps.

Well done to all of those staff and students who purchased a book and to Mark Landers (4th Year) who set up the book display.
