We had a great start to the Athletics season as Blackrock hosted the College Invitational on Wednesday April 26th .
Blackrock, St. Michael’s, CBC Monkstown, Benildus and St. Andrews competed across 12 events at 4 age grades.
There was stiff competition across each of the age grades and we look forward to next week’s East Leinster Championship.
Blackrock won the team event at Junior, Intermediate and Senior level with St. Michael’s winning the Minor grade.
I thank Mr Rowsome, Ms. Farrell, Mr Fitzsimons, Ms. McDonagh, Mr. Maher, Ms. Brady, Mr. Walsh, Stephen Lawton (Class of 2013), Cian Crotty (Class of 2015) and Conor Kilcoyne (Class of 2012) for their organisation of this event and the preparation of our Athletics team.
