U19 East Leinster League Quarter Final

BLACKROCK COLLEGE 44 | POBAIL SCOIL NEASAIN 45 |
This game provided both the most thrilling and heart-breaking aspects of sport and they were only moments apart. Pobail Scoil Neasain had led for almost the entire game and we trailed by 5 with 23 seconds to go. Nicolas Brusasca (5th Year) made a 3 point shot and then showing nerves of steel made three free throws to give us a one point lead with two seconds to go. Pobail Scoil Neasain to their credit made a very difficult shot right on the buzzer to get the win.
Captain Roberto Brusasca (6th year) led the charge in the first half with ten points out of a team total of 14. Nicolas Bruasasca was outstanding with a 20 point scoring total. While unfortunately we are eliminated from the competition, we will move onto the South Dublin League which will begin in due course.

BLACKROCK COLLEGE 57 | DONABATE COMMUNITY SCHOOL 28 |
A strong second quarter performance, won 21-7, saw us take control of the game and manage it through until the end. The entire squad is getting significant game time which is crucial for the season.
Ronin O’Halloran (3rd Year) with 21 points was excellent along with Jimmy Gilligan (3rd Year) with 12. Pablo Villarroya and Nico Coll (both TY) were super on defence.
