Basketball Ireland U-19 East-Leinster League

It was a strong third quarter performance that swung the game in our favour having previously been caught up in a tense, low-scoring game.

We led by 4 at the halfway stage and uncharacteristically were low-scoring with only twelve points on the board. However we really upped the scoring in the third and fourth quarters scoring 11 and 10 points in the respective quarters to eventually run out winners by a scoreline that does not reflect the committed performance by Coláiste Eoin.

Roberto Brusasca (5^th Year – 11 points) and Karl Conroy (6^th Year – 9 points) were pivotal on offence.  Seán Lardner (5^th Year), Barry O’Sullivan (Captain – 6^th year) and Nicholas Brusasca (4^th year) provided a strong defence.

This was a great squad performance and auguries well for our away game v St. Benildus on Monday 16^th October where a win would secure qualification for the East-Leinster Quarter final.
