BLACKROCKCOLLEGE 27 V. CBS THURLES 26

 Congratulations to Calum Henry (6th Year) and his Senior Squad on an excellent result in a hugely exciting game – 21–6 down at half time.  The spirit, work ethic, composure and skill of the side came to the fore, taking the lead for the first time the 45 seconds to go!

Calum Henry scored 9 points; Andrew Keenan (6th Year) and Rob Somers (5th Year) contributed 8 points each.

What a comeback!

 

U16 BASKETBALL

BLACKROCKCOLLEGE 6 V. CBS THURLES 36

 

Captain Michael Ryan (3rd Year) and his side came up against an outstanding CBS Thurles side who were at the top of their game and deserved victors.

The Squad put in a huge effort throughout the game and never gave in.  This character in the Squad gives much cause for optimism for the rest of the season.

Special mention must go to Harry Moraghan, Cian Brennan and Andrew Kennedy (all 2nd Year) who performed very well.

I thank our Coaches Mr O’Neill and Shane Kelly (Class of 2013) for their work with both sides.
