Basketball – All Ireland Play Offs

It was a fantastic weekend (22 – 24 January 2016) for Basketball at Blackrock.

Calum Henry (6^th Year) and his Squad qualified for the ALL IRELAND SEMI-FINAL winning 3 matches in 48 hours.

The trilogy began in our Sports Hall on Friday with victory over St Fachtnas, Cork (50 – 37).

Next up, on Sunday morning, we played Coláiste Oiriall, (Monaghan) in Avondale Community College, Rathdrum.  A 45 – 27 win pitched us against Avondale Community College in the afternoon and the 57 – 34 winning margin was the product of outstanding teamwork and organisation both in attack and defence.

The ALL-IRELAND SEMI-FINAL will take place in the National Basketball Arena, Tallaght at 11.00 am on Tuesday 2^nd February.
