After winning two out of three matches in the pool stages, we were drawn against Castleknock Community College for the Quarter-Final. We had a slow start as Castleknock shut down our offensive work with a strong and organised defence and were 4-10 down at half time.

A quick two pointer by Samuel Adelantado at the start of the third Quarter, combined with impressive rebounding and drives toward the basket by Gearóid Nutley, brought us back into the game.

In the fourth Quarter, it was nip and tuck and Jose Pelegrin’s 3 pointer made the score 12-14 with three minutes left on the clock. We worked hard to close the gap, however It was not to be.

Captain David Hopkins, vice-captain Gearóid Nutley and the squad can be proud of their league performance. While their encounter with a well-organised Castleknock team didn’t go their way, they worked well together as a team throughout the league to secure multiple great wins.
