Basketball – 2nd Year East-Leinster Plate Final

Congratulations to joint captains Jimmy Gilligan and Murray Baker and their squad on this victory. After a tight, nervy opening quarter, with a basket on the buzzer from Jimmy Gilligan giving us 8-6 advantage, it was in the next two quarters that we won the game with a 21-7 scoreline.

Sound management in the final quarter saw us secure the win. Jimmy Gilligan scored 18 points but this was an excellent squad performance. May this be the first of many successes for this talented and dedicated group.
