Annual Athletics Invitational

Wednesday, 25th April 2018

Over 200 athletes from 6 schools competed at 11 events across 4 age groups in our annual Athletics Invitational last Wednesday, 25th April. Competition was fierce across every age group, leaving us all better prepared for the East Leinsters this week.

Willow won the minor grade, CBC the junior and we won the intermediate and senior competitions.

The overall result was 1 Blackrock : 2 St. Michael’s : 3 CBC.

I thank Mr Fitzsimons, Eddie McDonagh, Ms Whyte, Ms Kennedy, Ms Smith and Ms Quinn (Willow), Cian Crotty (Class of 2015), Roghan McMahon (Class of 2015), Jack Gardiner (Class of 2016), Michael Nolan (Class of 2017) and Shane Keane (Class of 2017) for their time and expertise in helping facilitate this event. I thank Mr Rowsome for his overall co-ordination of Athletics and wish the boys well in the East Leinsters next week.
