5K Fun Run

There was an excellent turn out. Over 300 started for our annual 5k in aid of Machakos and GOAL. Olympic Gold Medallist Ronnie Delany was on hand to set the band of runners and walkers, ranging in age from 5 to 87, on their way. All participants received T-shirts and a ‘goodie bag’, contents kindly provided by our generous sponsors Bank of Ireland, Friends First and KPMG. There were numerous spot prizes for all the participants.

This was a fantastic occasion made possible by our aforementioned sponsors, Mr O’Neill, Mr Savage and our TY boys led by, Michael Gadaloff, Callum Byrne, Aidan Canavan, Seb Lowe, Shane Murray, James Fahy and Hugh Murphy. Also, Mark Rogan and Richard Burke from the College Union and of course, the families, friends and staff of Blackrock who made it happen.
