5k 4Kenya Open Run Results

In glorious sunshine, 500 walkers, joggers and runners lined up for the start of our 5K at a sparkling Leopardstown Racecourse yesterday Sunday, 26th March.

It was a fantastic occasion with spot prizes provided for over 50 contestants as well as t-shirts, Jaffa cakes, Bank of Ireland keyrings and pens, water and fruit juice freely available for both participants and spectators.

A great day – with substantial funds raised for the Holy Ghost Mission School in Sultan Hamud Kenya.

I thank our lead sponsors Bank of Ireland, Friends First and Grant Thornton, Applegreen and the Evening Herald for making it possible, Richard Burke and David Gillette (both class of 1987) of the College Union, Mr. Brennan, Mr. Savage, Mr O’Shea, Mr O’Neill, our Athletics coach Eddie McDonagh and our legion of Transition Year Students who made it a great success and of course Mr. Pat Keogh, CEO, Leopardstown Racecourse who provided the spectacular venue.
