3rd Year Family Mass, Sunday 13th November 2016
Fr. Paddy Moran C.S.SP, Director of Spiritan Youth Services, was chief celebrant at the 3rd year family mass last Sunday. In a superb homily, he reminded us that each one of us is very precious and that we all have the capacity to do great things. He reminded us that we are all very close to God for “God is love”. Sean O’Sullivan and his parents Alice and Killian led us in the ‘family faith prayer’, a copy of which was given to each member of the congregation after the mass.
President of the Union, Mr Brian O’Neill (Class of 1981) and his family represented Blackrock of the generation providing that vital bond between our past and the present.
We had a fabulous liturgy for which I thank my colleagues Mr Dunne, Ms O’Connor, Mr Grumley-Traynor, Mr Tom Ryan, Ms Hegarty, Mr O’Reilly, Ms McMahon, Ms Wade, Mr Brennan, Mr Walsh, Mr Herlihy our Eucharistic Ministers Mark Nealon, Ross Deegan, Peter Fitzpatrick and Scott Donohoe (all 6th Year), our concelebrating community, our musicians, choir, readers, servers, processionists, parents’ and boys from 3rd Year in attendance, all of whom made an enormous contribution.
