2nd Year East-Leinster Basketball League Quarter Final Results

The 2nd Years’ competitive basketball season ended in defeat to an excellent Celbridge side. After a difficult opening quarter which was crucial in the context of the game, we were 2-13 down. However there is a great spirit amongst this 2nd Year team and they fought back superbly winning the second quarter 8-4 to leave a 17-10 gap at the halfway point. Alas, this was as close as we got. Zach Potter was excellent, scoring ten points.

There is still a significant amount of time left in this term before the summer athletics term kicks in. What Feargal Keane (Captain) and his squad lack is experience. With competitive basketball finished it gives a real opportunity to get significant amounts of training which is vital to develop the skillset of the squad. The 2017/18 season starts now.
