2014 IRISH BEBRAS COMPUTING CONTEST
The following students – based on their results in Mathematics in the Junior Cert 2014 – have been invited to participate in the 2014 IRISH BEAVER COMPUTING CONTEST (IBCC):
Christopher Aylward, Cillian Boland, Giuseppe Coyne, Mark Dignam, Mark Heavey, John Heavey, James Kelly, Oisín McEnroe, Riccardo Mei, Joseph O’Donnell, Cian Reilly, Daniel Wall (all Transition Year)
The IBCC is the Irish Branch of BEBRAS INTERNATIONAL an online International Computer Competition Thinking Challenge for students in both primary and second-level schools. It is anticipated that over 750,000 students will take part this year from over 40 countries.
The International Online Competition aims to raise computer science awareness in a fun and rewarding way. The contest engage students in solving problems using their computational thinking skills. No previous experience or knowledge is necessary.
The IBCC will take place during the week 10th – 14th November 2014. All participants in IBCC 2014 will receive a Certificate.
