1ST YEAR V. COLLEGE DEBATE

Last Friday 17th April 2015, Michael Ryan (2nd Year), Niall Meagher (2nd Year) and Ben Heapes (3rd Year) journeyed to the halls of Willow Park for what was an engaging, thought-provoking and humorous debate. The College Team was narrowly defeated by Luke O’Brien, John Huggard and Tom Dooley (all 1st Year) in proposing the Motion that:

THIS HOUSE SUPPORTS THE IDEA OF A
NON-VIOLENT VIGILANTE’

I would like to thank Stephen Rooney (5th Year), Scott Donohoe (Transition Year) and Mr Tom Brady for their adjudication, Mr Hugh McGuire, Mr Alan Rogan and Ms Caroline Dobbyn for their organisation of the day, the Willow Park Maintenance Staff, all the Teachers and the Speakers for what was a fantastic Debate and a nice preview for the first 1st Year Gold Medal Debate.
