Luke Fitzgerald (Class of 2006) and vice president of the Union John Rogan (Class of 1989) were the official starters at the 29th renewal of the Willow Wheelers 100 mile cycle.

Fr. Peter Suttle, Fr Nash and Fr Gavin concelebrated Mass at 7.45am and after a light breakfast over 250 cyclists of all ages set off at 9am in bright sunshine led by the extraordinary Christy McDaid.

The peloton returned shortly after 7pm bronzed and tired but pleased with their day.
